Ettalong Foreshore Redevelopment

CLIENT: Gosford City Council

This project is primarily a civic foreshore parkland and beach whereby our job site encompassed over 1km of foreshore area. The project had a wide range of structural components that were challenged by the fact that we were constructing in tidal zones or within water charged ground.

The Foreshore parkland consisted primarily of the following features:

  • Rock revetment sea wall
  • 22,000m³ of dredged sand from the bay and placed / shaped to design profiles to provide beach renourishment works
  • Construction of gross pollutant trap and culverts under water
  • Construction of a new café / restaurant building including all services, piling foundations, fitout etc
  • New carparking
  • Shot blast concrete pathways
  • Gardens / turf / irrigation / lighting
  • Playgrounds / exercise stations
